Greg Strakosch, Co-Founder and CEO, has led the company to its position as the fastest-growing IT media company.

Prior to founding TechTarget, Greg was President of the Technology Division of UCG, a leading business-to-business information provider, where he grew the business more than 15-fold in six years. He joined UCG in 1992 when the company acquired Reliability Ratings, a successful IT publishing company he founded in 1989. Before Reliability Ratings, Greg spent six years in senior sales and marketing positions at EMC Corporation, which he joined as the company's 29th employee.

Don Hawk
Co-Founder and President
Don Hawk, Co-Founder and President, leads TechTarget's product innovation efforts. Don's responsibilities include leveraging TechTarget's unparalleled targeting capabilities with its unique editorial model and highly qualified audience of enterprise IT professionals to develop innovative solutions for the company's advertisers and member base of enterprise IT professionals.
In June 2004, Media Business magazine named Don a "Top Innovator in Business Publishing" in new media. He has extensive experience in product development in business-to-business environments. Under his leadership, TechTarget has diversified its media offerings to include print magazines, more than a dozen invitation-only conferences, Webcasts, list rentals, SolutionCenters, 100+ e-Newsletters and a network of market-specific IT Web sites.
Prior to co-founding TechTarget, Don was Director of New Media Products for the Technology Division of United Communications Group (UCG), a leader in business-to-business information services. While at UCG, he launched Search400.com, the flagship site for TechTarget.
Prior to joining UCG, Don was the Director of Electronic Business Development for Telecommunications Reports International (TRI), where he created TRI's first Web site and a line of business derived from licensing electronic TRI content to large organizations.
Don received his BA and MA from George Washington University.
Eric Sockol
Chief Financial Officer
Eric Sockol has been the Chief Financial Officer of TechTarget since its inception and is responsible for overseeing finance, human resources, investor relations, facilities, and administration functions at TechTarget. He has 24 years of experience in senior finance roles in large global organizations and rapid-growth technology ventures.
Eric has served as the Chief Financial Officer of three technology companies. He is experienced with capital markets and has successfully raised funds through debt offerings, private placements and multiple public offerings. During his tenure at TechTarget, Eric has managed the acquisition of more than a dozen online properties, including Bitpipe.com, 2020software.com and Technologyguide.com.
Prior to joining TechTarget, Eric was Chief Financial Officer of ObTech, Inc. as well as OneWave, Inc. Prior to OneWave, he served as Finance Director and Corporate Controller of Corporate Software, Inc. During his tenure at Corporate Software, revenues increased from under $100 million to over $1 billion and headcount grew from 500 to 5,000.
Eric is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Kevin Beam
Executive Vice President
Kevin Beam is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of TechTarget's media groups, which include all TechTarget Web sites, events and magazines. He has over 20 years of experience in IT publishing and technology sales and marketing.
Kevin joined TechTarget in 2000 as vice president, responsible for developing the market strategy for the company’s portfolio of targeted IT Web sites. In later years, he assumed responsibility for the largest and most successful media units in the company as executive vice president and publisher of TechTarget's Storage, Security and Windows Media groups. In that role, Kevin has managed TechTarget's most highly-trafficked Web sites and overseen the development of TechTarget's conference model, the launch of its conference division, two successful magazine launches, the acquisition of Information Security magazine, and the launch of nearly a dozen highly targeted Web sites.
Prior to joining TechTarget, Kevin was vice president of the Technology division of business-to-business information publisher United Communications Group (UCG), where he was responsible for the launch or acquisition of more than a dozen publications and the implementation of hundreds of successful conferences and seminars. With TechTarget CEO Greg Strakosch, Kevin co-founded Reliability Ratings, an IT publisher acquired by UCG in 1992. He began his career at EMC, a world leader in storage technology, where he spent five years in sales and sales management positions.
Kevin holds a B.A. from Boston College.
Rick Olin
VP, General Counsel
Rick Olin has served as TechTarget's general counsel since October of 2006. His responsibilities include serving as legal advisor to executive management, providing executive and legal support for M&A, financings and other strategic relationships, as well as for transactions involving TechTarget’s online and print media, and event properties. He also is responsible for managing TechTarget’s IP portfolio and corporate compliance programs.
Prior to joining TechTarget, Rick was the senior vice president of corporate development, general counsel and secretary of Workscape, Inc., a provider of outsourced human resource technology solutions, from March 2005 through October 2006, and its vice president, general counsel, and secretary, from March 2002 through February 2005.
From March 1999 through February 2002 Rick was vice president and general counsel at SpeechWorks International, Inc., a provider of speech technology software solutions.
Rick holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.Ed from Harvard University and a J.D. from Northeastern University.
